It’s a beautiful chaos.
The Distro, now in its fifth year, started as a way to distribute food and toilet paper to the community during the COVID-19 pandemic, but it has since grown to adapt to the needs of the community.
"The Distro is really an open-to-the-public event: we serve about 50% of our unhoused neighbors, and the rest who we serve are working families, veterans, domestic violence survivors and students. It’s really a place where it doesn’t matter what your background is, just coming together to build community and get your basic needs met,” — Stephania Vasconez, Executive Director of MAP
