On August 19th over 20 organizations gathered at the Botanical Gardens picnic area near Las Colonias to provide basic needs supplies and transformative services to unhoused community members.

This multi-agency outreach event was put on by the Basic Needs and Outreach Workgroup as a part of the Unhoused Strategy & Implementation Plan endorsed by the City of Grand Junction and adopted by the Mesa County Collaboration for the Unhoused.

Alongside Mutual Aid Partners and the Neighbor2Neighbor team, who co-facilitated the event, the following organizations brought supplies and/or team members ready to engage with community members: Ava Health, Bigfoot Roll-Off Services, Food Bank of the Rockies, Foundations 4 Life, Grand Valley Connects, Grand Valley Catholic Outreach, Health Solutions West, Mesa County Public Health, Intermountain Health, Mesa County Libraries, Prime Health Plus, Roice Hurst, Rocky Mountain Health Plans, Sunshine Community, Sober AF Entertainment, Solidarity Not Charity, Toilet Equity, United Way of Mesa County, Uproot, VA/One Source, and Western Colorado Health Network.
